RESERVATION AGREEMENT:

Payment in full is required if you are checking in within 30 days. Your credit card will be charged. If your reservation is within 6 months, half of the balance is due at the time of reservation.  The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival. If making a reservation beyond 6 months, one night's rental is due at the time of the reservation. Half of the remaining balance is due 6 months prior to your reservation. The remaining balance will be due one month prior to your reservation. A payment plan will be given to you at the time of your reservation.  All balances are due within one month of the reservation.

A signed copy of the Reservation Agreement must be in our office the same day that you make your reservation. A Security Deposit and Wavier is also required and must be on file in our office.

A reservation confirmation will be sent after the first deposit is received and confirmed through payments. Acceptable payment methods include check, credit card or money order.  Checks must be in our office 30 days in advance of check-in.

Cancellation Policy:

If we can re-book your Lodge dates, then we will refund your money  the amount for which it was re-booked.  There is a $200.00 charge for cancellations.

We will call you two days prior to your check-in with the key information to the lodge.

CHECK-IN IS AT 3:00 PM.  CHECK-OUT IS BY 12:00 PM.

Understand that by renting and staying in Pointe View Lodge, you are accepting full responsibility for all damages and/or stolen items.  All damages will be the responsibility of the reserving party and their credit card will be charged for any violations.  Any excessive cleaning will be billed  to you.

Before your departure, place towels and sheets in bathtub (not comforters or pillows).  All dishes and cookware should be washed and returned to the cupboards, and garbage sealed in plastic bags provided and placed in outside containers.  Place the air-conditioning temperature to 85, or the heat to 65, in the AUTO position only.   

We are not responsible for weather conditions.  Four-wheel drive and chains may be required during winter months.  Every effort will be made by Pointe View Lodge to correct any problems you may encounter during your stay, however there are no refunds.

For after hours assistance with the lodge, call the emergency number given to you and leave a message. Someone will call you shortly thereafter.  Unfortunately appliances, air conditioners, refrigerators, televisions, hot tubs, etc., occasionally malfunction.  We cannot guarantee them to perform 100% of the time. We do however, guarantee to correct the problem as soon as possible....DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.  Please remember if you call as early as possible (9am) we can work out a resolution faster.

For life threatening emergencies call 911.

SMOKING OR PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN POINTE VIEW LODGE.

I understand that I am responsible for the condition in which the property that I have rented from POINTE VIEW LODGE is left after check-out.  I agree that the lodge will be left in the same condition found upon check-in, except normal wear and tear. If it is not left in the same condition, I will be responsible for any damage, (including clogged plumbing), to the property or the property's contents, and any legal fees paid for such collection by the owners.  I will not hold the owners of POINTE VIEW LODGE responsible for any injuries or damages caused by accident on the property of any kind.  I also will not hold the owners liable for any theft of money, jewelry, personal property or valuables of any kind.  I also understand that if excessive cleaning is required after my departure, I will be charged a minimum fee of $100.00. I acknowledge that there is no smoking or pets allowed in the Lodge.

I understand that I will be charged additional fees if I use more bedrooms/rooms than agreed upon at the time of my reservation.

Thanks and enjoy your stay!

1. Pointe View Lodge is our family's home away from home. We frequently gather here and have made many wonderful memories. As our lodge is decorated with our personal belongings, we kindly ask that you take particular care as many of our furnishings are family heirlooms and cannot be replaced. We hope your stay will be just as relaxing and rejuvenating as ours have been!

2. There are 2 sleeper couches: one upper and one on main level. When utilized, Pointe View Lodge comfortably sleeps twenty-two people.

3. Do not let children wander outside unattended. As beautiful as our lodge is, there are steep bluffs and slippery slopes on the property that can be dangerous to children as well as adults. Please be careful on your walks.

4. When not in use, turn off the fireplace, air conditioning and heating on levels that you aren't using or will be away from for an extended period. This will help us keep our rates as low as possible.

5. Keep code for alarm and for the gate with you when you leave the property, as well as the emergency numbers.

6. Lock all doors and secure the gate when you leave the property.

7. Key to the building must be placed at the appropriate place when you leave. We will give you specific instructions

8. If the electricity goes off, the water will also go off since Pointe View is on a well system. You will be given emergency numbers to call should this happen.

9. Please clean your feet before entering Pointe View. Our Mother and Grandmother taught us well!

10. Check-in is normally at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12:00 p.m. Please let us know if you will require an extended stay.

11. The fireplace is available from October through April.

12. Rates are subject to change without notice.

13. Maid service and Catering services are available. Just ask!

14. No pets.

15. Dispose of all rubbish in trash cans provided and secure the tops. Our neighbors have reported that there is a bear in our area, although it has not been spotted at Pointe View. This means that we need to be especially vigilant in keeping food and garbage secured in the trash cans to prevent attracting bears.

16. Build fires only where the fire pit is provided.

17. Turn off lights when they are not in use.

18. In the time between a verbal commitment and the receipt of a deposit, Pointe View will not release lodge to another organization without a two day notice, allowing the first organization to place a deposit.

19. Deposits are unconditionally refundable up to four weeks prior to the event, less $200.00 cancellation fee. If cancellation occurs as a result of bad weather (i.e. impassable roads), Pointe View will apply the deposit to a future date.

20. The Lodge telephone is set up for local calls only. With only Limited Service, no long-distance calls can be made from our lodge. However, you may place a long-distant call using your calling card, credit card or by calling collect.

From Nashville:

• Take I-40 East to Monterey/Livingston-Exit # 300

• Turn Left and travel North on Hwy 70/84 for 1mile to Hwy 62 East

• Turn right/East on Hwy 62 for 16  miles to Hwy. 127. Exxon station on corner.

• Turn left/North on Hwy 127 for 20 miles to the Hwy 154 Exit.(4)         

* Do not exit at Jamestown. Stay on Hwy. 127. Bypass the town of Jamestown.

• Turn right onto Hwy 154 and follow the signs to Pickett State Park for approximately 9.6 miles.

• Once you pass Wildwood Lodge on your right, you’ll travel 1.10 miles to Blackhouse Mtn. Rd..

• Turn left on Blackhouse Mountain Road and travel 2.3 miles to Misty Mountain Road

• Turn left and travel approximately .4 miles to the end of the road.

• Turn left at the Odum Pointeview sign into the lodge driveway. Enter your code at the gate and travel up the hill to the Lodge.
